History of the Black Community in San Pedro

General Peter Gravett a true "San Pedran" moved to San Pedro during WW2. From San Pedro High School, through service with the LADP and CA National Guard/US Army, to CA Secretary of Veterians Affairs, his military career and community service has been remarkable!  General Gravett will speak to us about the History of the Black Community in San Pedro. "From East Garrison to the Ranch House" his autobiography, chronicles the life of one of the legendary Black families in the harbor area.
