Shelters for Women Victims of Human Trafficking

Happy Tuesday everyone! Please join us this Thursday and congradulate and support or students of the month and listen to our wonderful guest speaker Christine Lee and she tells us all about CAFSO-WRAG.

Christine Lee is a young professional who works in the technology industry on the East Coast.  She is a virtual volunteer for CAFSO-WRAG that she discovered through United Planet, a non-profit organization that connects volunteers with foreign non-profits.  She volunteers to build her skills and learn.  Previous volunteer projects include sorting food produce at the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina and volunteer recruitment for a global health non-profit organization.  She enjoys running and watching YouTube videos.

CAFSO-WRAG has requested monetary assistance from our club to support their project in Nigeria.

Christine will provide information about CAFSO-WRAG’s project to provide shelter for women victims of human trafficking/gender-based violence in Ibadan, Nigeria with the goal to strengthen the psychological, social, and economic needs of women victims of human trafficking and violence in Ibadan Oyo State, Nigeria.
