Dear San Pedro Rotarians,

This week is a major week in the life of our club: we transition the club's leadership to a new board of directors, with Linda Klingner at the helm. This Thursday evening we'll be swearing them in at the San Pedro Fish Market, eating to our heart's content and learning the vision of our club's new President. It's sure to be a night to remember.

Additional announcements:

  • This Friday, 6/28, is Cars and Stripes! An estimated 10-25,000 people are expected to descend on us to enjoy the festivities, and our club is excited to greet them! For those that signed up to volunteer, please keep an eye out for specific details coming from Dominique. Until then, here is some basic information:
    • Event address is 100 Swinford St San Pedro, CA 90731.
    • Parking: Please attempt to carpool as much as possible. Parking is available in the main Cruise Terminal lot or the Catalina Express lot for a $5 flat rate.
    • Wear your Rotary bling!
  • Last, Thursday, July 11 will be our annual trip to the Hollywood Bowl! This year we'll be blessed with song and dance from Spain - Ravel and Falla. We'll meet at Averill Park from 4:30-5:30pm, get transported up to the Bowl by an incredible bus, and food will be provided! Cost is $15/ea, but make sure to RSVP with Helene!!
Thank you all for your continued dedication to the principle of "Service Above Self." Can't wait to see each and every one of you this week!
