Linda Klingner Teacher Mini-Grants
Linda Klingner was a shining example of unwavering commitment to the principles of the Rotary 4-Way Test, with a heart dedicated to service above self. Linda embodied the values of integrity, goodwill, friendship, and commitment to the community. Her journey was a testament to the transformative power of these ideals and she strove to impact the world around her. But Linda's dedication didn't stop there; her passion for supporting teachers was a driving force. She recognized educators' pivotal role in shaping the future and her tireless efforts to provide teacher resources ignited positive change. Linda championed the cause of education, fostering an environment where teachers can thrive.This year, the Rotary Club of San Pedro is pleased to announce that it will be awarding three Linda Klingner Teacher Mini-Grants to teachers in San Pedro whose Applications are approved by the Mini-Grant Committee. These Mini-Grants are awarded to public and private K-12 teachers in San Pedro to help defray their out-of-pocket expenses for classroom supplies and equipment. Each Mini-Grant will be in the amount of $350.
Applications should be received by September 15, 2025. Teachers who receive a Mini-Grant will be notified by e-mail and the grants will be presented at a Rotary Club meeting.
We especially look for requests with unique educational goals, that serve students with the greatest needs, involve a large number of students, benefit multiple grade levels, can be utilized repeatedly or have a unique value to a specialized group of students.
